Auteurist WebVR Hackathon @ Mozilla Judges & Judging Criteria
Happy Pi Day Everyone!
Thanks for signing up for the Auteurist WebVR Hackathon at Mozilla. We look forward to seeing you this Saturday and Sunday. We are reaching out to update you on our judges and judging criteria.
Judging will take place on Sunday March 18th following project presentations which will happen from 1:30-2:30pm. Our judging panel consists of three judges from the fields of Film/VFX, WebVR, and Animation!
Lizz Kupfer is the Animation Tech Lead at Fable studios. She works to create interactive experiences and has over 10 years of experience in VR, games, commercials, and television.
Igor Boshoer is a VFX and VR technologist and innovator with feature film credits including The Revenant and The Wolf of Wall Street. His extensive experience building studio technology inspired his company, Linc, which has the world’s first cloud-based collection of content creation technology. Additionally, he runs the VFX Tech community.
Damon Hernandez is is a Senior 3D Web & Immersive Tech Dev & Designer at Samsung Research America. Damon runs the the San Francisco WebGL Meetup group (https://www.meetup.com/WebGL-Developers-Meetup/), and is on the organizing team for the 3D Web Fest, a festival that showcases exhibits that mix art and web technology. In 2013, he founded the AEC Hackathon.
The judges will be awarding:
-Best WebVR Hack: this is the most technically innovative WebVR implementation
-Best Auteurist VR Movie:Most compelling 360 degree video work created using Auteurist.
- Best Overall Project:Most exciting project, whether movie, experience, or software.
